Cork flooring is made exclusively from the carefully harvested bark of the Mediterranean Cork Oak Tree. The bark from these trees is hand harvested every 9-10 years without causing any damage to the tree itself.

A typical Cork Tree can be harvested for up to 150 years! Every time the bark is harvested it grows back stronger than the previous harvested materials.

Every piece of Cork bark harvested is used so no waste is ever generated; even small pieces of Cork are group up to produce flooring and other Cork based products.

Sound Control

Due to its makeup, cork flooring has built-in sound retention and deadening properties. This in turn leaves rooms with cork flooring installed much quieter. Our Valencia Cork flooring meets or exceeds all IIFC rating requirements.

Insulation

Each square inch of Valencia Cork flooring is made up of millions of tiny air cells. This creates a floor that is warm to walk on and is an excellent improvement over other flooring surfaces.

Impact Resistant

Cork flooring has a natural built-in memory to it. Every time an area becomes depressed from the dropping of an object or a piece of heavy furniture, a small dent or impression may occur. However, cork will usually take back its natural shape & form within 24 hours, making it ideal for use throughout your home! Due to its make-up of millions of tiny air cells, the risk of breaking fragile object, such as glass, when dropped on the floor is greatly reduced.
